Sam Smith is returning to Australia next month for a full national tour following his performance at the Sydney Opera House in January.

With a heartfelt performance at the recent Grammys now under Sam Smith’s belt and tickets being snapped for his The Thrill Of It All Tour this November, a second Brisbane show has been added to the award-winning English singer-songwriter’s run of dates down under.

While all the tickets are gone for his Saturday night concert, Brisbane fans can still catch Smith with special guest Paloma Faith at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Sunday 11 November.

After a handful of intimate Australian shows at the beginning of the year, Australian fans propelled Smith’s single “Pray” to a gold certification and the music video for “Too Good At Goodbyes” to the most viewed video on VEVO.

The short Australian visit earlier this year was packed with special achievements, including his first ever appearance at the iconic Sydney Opera House, a venue that it had been a lifelong dream of Sam’s to perform at.

With the same-sex marriage postal survey looming, the singer announced last October he would donate the expected profits from the Sydney concert to three local LGBTIQ charities – The Equality Campaign, ReachOut and Twenty10.

And when he came to our shores in January, Sam met marriage equality campaigner Magda Szubanski and said he was “honoured” to meet the Australian comedian.

He spoke at the time of the emotion he felt after marriage equality was finally passed in December.

“I was just staring at my phone crying when it happened,” he said.

“It’s such amazing news and a beautiful way to kick off the new year.”

Sam’s The Thrill of It All album debuted at the top of the charts in the United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand and at #2 on the ARIA Album Chart.

On the upcoming tour, fans can expect Sam’s stirring songs like #1 ARIA single “Too Good At Goodbyes”, “One Last Song”, “Burning” and “Pray”.

Smith has gone from strength-to-strength since the release of his five-times Platinum 2014 debut In The Lonely Hour and James Bond theme “Writing’s On The Wall”.

The singer has picked up an array of awards including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, three Brit Awards, three Billboard Music Awards and four Grammys, to name but a few.

Don’t miss the chance to secure tickets to the incomparable Sam Smith when he returns to our shores.

Sam Smith will perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11. Tickets are available from Ticketek.
