Hacks: Back To Basics

“It’s all about back to basics” Deborah Vance announces in the trailer for the second season of Hacks.

She is of course referring to the tour of her latest show, the focus of the new season.

The trailer brings us where we left off as Vance and Ava embark on her latest tour to help save her career.

Beginning with the road trip looks like a smart fresh angle for the show.

Harnessing the energy and momentum of the previous season was crucial, without allowing it to remain stagnant.

By taking the team on the road there’s plenty of room for this hilarious show to grow and develop.

New and old faces return for season two

Fresh off the bat we’re introduced to the latest addition to the Hacks cast, Alice, also known as ‘Weed.’

Alice is the quirky tour manager for this new “Back to Basics” approach.

The role is played by iconic Hollywood actress Laurie Metcalf and from the trailer alone she looks set to shine.

Also appearing as part of the new cast are Martha Kelly (Euphoria) and Ming-Na Wen (The Book of Boba Fett).

Teen heart throb Devon Sawa has als0 been confirmed to appear in the series, but does not appear in the trailer.

Series regulars Christopher McDonald, Kaitlin Olson and Poppy Liu are also ready and raring to go.

The trailer shows a sharp, edgy and witty season two that looks set to rival its first.

Season Two of Hacks will debut on Stan Australia on May 13th.
