Olympic silver medalist Ji Wallace wants this generation to be the one which ends HIV, he says in a new video launched today by the HIV Foundation Queensland.
The HIVFQ’s short film, titled “2020,” features a number of real Queenslanders who are affected by HIV in one way or another, whether they identify as part of a group that is at higher risk of HIV, or are passionate about the issue and are simply standing up for the cause.
“We all have our own hopes for what we’d like to see happen by 2020, from marriage equality to greater acceptance, but there’s one goal that we should all be sharing, and that is to END HIV,” HIVFQ said.
HIVFQ encourages everyone to visit 2020.endhiv.org.au to find out three things you can do right now to help: you can join their newsletter, get tested, or donate to support their work.
Every $10 buys 10 safe sex packs, $25 enables another person to be tested, and $50 helps support Queensland-led research. All donations received go directly into Queensland HIV programs.
