Lady Gaga is a guest judge on the new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and in a new clip from the first episode Lady Gaga shares an emotional moment with the queens taking part.
“I can’t tell you. I have been the closest to death and you’ve pulled me out of it. And you don’t even realise what you do for people, and how you inspire people like me, and all of us,” new queen Eureka O’Hara tells the singer in the first episode of the show’s new season.
“And I just want to tell you you’re so amazing. And I never thought in the world I would ever meet you… You allow us to be who we are, as an artist. Thank you.”
Gaga responded by saying the admiration was mutual.
“I have always really admired the craftsmanship that goes into what you all do,” Gaga told the queens.
“Drag for me has been an opportunity to leave myself when I didn’t want to be me. I felt so completely out of place when I was in high school.
“Drag has just been a part of my life for the longest time. It’s just really an honor for me to be here, to be with you.”
The new series of RuPaul’s Drag Race will air in the US on March 24.
