Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming reboot of Queer Eye For The Straight Guy and it gives us the first taste of what the makeover reality series’ 2018 version will look like.
The original Emmy-winning show ran from 2003 to 2007 and featured the “Fab Five” – five gay New York style experts – who used their expertise to give straight men makeovers.
The new iteration, this time around titled Queer Eye, features an all-new crew of gay men tasked with giving a makeover to a straight man.
There’s Tan France on fashion, Antoni Porowski on food and wine, Jonathan Van Ness on grooming, Bobby Berk on interior design, and culture guru Karamo Brown.
“The millennials don’t remember the old show,” series creator David Collins told Entertainment Weekly in December.
“It’s got such a great heart and soul and humor to it, so I’m excited for a new audience… If the original was about tolerance, this time it is about acceptance.
“These guys walked away truly loving every single hero that they made over and talked about them for weeks afterward. It affected them just as much as they affected our hero.”
Queer Eye is released to Netflix on February 7. Watch the trailer below:
