Actor Andrew Garfield has locked lips with Stephen Colbert – twice – after the talk show host asked him to explain his famous Golden Globes smooch with Ryan Reynolds.
Garfield and Reynolds were seated together at the Globes awards ceremony last Sunday and could be seen in the telecast sharing a kiss after Ryan lost the Best Actor gong to fellow nominee Ryan Gosling.
Garfield explained: “I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him no matter whether he won or lost.
“It doesn’t matter, it’s how you play the game… He gave his all. It doesn’t change anything in my heart.”
Colbert then asked Garfield if he was comfortable kissing men, to which he responded: “I don’t understand the question.”
Colbert elaborated: “Not everybody’s comfortable with it, but I’m totally comfortable too.”
The pair then suddenly came together for a kiss, to cheers from the audience.
“So you’re… you’re a very gentle lover,” Colbert said, lost for words.
