WATCH: Couple’s Marriage Proposal Surprises Adele At Melbourne Concert

Gay couple Adele concert melbourne

A gay couple got engaged on stage at Adele’s last Australian concert in Melbourne on Sunday night.

The superstar singer first invited one of the men, Chris, on stage after she spotted him crying during her opening song “Hello”.

But when his partner Wade joined him on stage, Wade got down on one knee to pop the question.

Wade explained that they had already married, but hadn’t had the opportunity to officially propose. When Chris said yes, the crowd erupted into applause and the couple kissed and got a hug from Adele.

“That wasn’t planned, I had no idea!” a shocked Adele said.

The Melbourne concert at Etihad Stadium on Sunday was Adele’s last in Australia. She’ll perform shows in Auckland this Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
