Vatican Police ‘Raided Gay Orgy At Priest’s Apartment’

Vatican police last month arrested a priest after they broke up a gay orgy in an apartment he was living in at the time, according to an Italian media report.

According to the New Zealand Herald and The Times, Italian-language newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano made the sensational claims about the apartment which is said to belong to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the church body responsible for spreading Catholic doctrine.

The apartment’s alleged occupant at the time was named in Italian media as the secretary of a cardinal who acts as an adviser to Pope Francis.

Il Fatto Quotidiano claimed neighbours had complained about irregular behaviour of those coming and going at the apartment, and when police showed up, the newspaper alleged they found drugs and a group of men engaged in sexual activity.

The priest was then arrested and taken for questioning, the newspaper reported.

The newspaper suggested that the news infuriated Pope Francis and he may force the cardinal into retirement.
