New Farm’s Nash Theatre are urgently looking for a new actress, aged 18-30, to join the cast of the group’s upcoming production of “Harvey” due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Pulitzer Prize winning comedy by American playwright Mary Chase centers on the affable gentleman Elwood P. Dowd and his best friend, Harvey, a six-foot tall rabbit that only he can see. Brisbane actor Daren King stars as Elwood in Nash Theatre’s production.
The group needs someone with stage experience who is able to learn the character’s lines quickly. Rehearsals for “Harvey” are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, and performance dates are from July 9 to July 30.
Anyone interested in the role is urged to contact the play’s director Bianca Butler Reynolds at firstname.lastname@example.org
