Australian pop star Troye Sivan’s new movie Three Months will come to streaming in Australia on March 1.
Last week, Troye excitedly teased the new lead role in the queer coming-of-age comedy-drama.
In the film, Sivan plays Caleb, a Florida teenager “who loves his camera, his weed, and his grandmother.”
However on the eve of his high school graduation, just as a new chapter of Caleb’s life begins, the teenager is exposed to HIV during a hookup.
“Florida, 2011. Caleb Kahn gets a text from a hot one night stand that he never thought he’d hear from again,” Troye explains on Instagram.
“He has just tested positive for HIV.
“Caleb remembers; the condom broke. How long until Caleb finds out if he has it too? Three Months.”
While Caleb waits, he finds love “in the most unlikely places.”
For Australian audiences, Paramount+ has confirmed the movie will be available on the streaming service here on Tuesday, March 1.
Three Months is written and directed by Jared Frieder and also stars Viveik Kalra, Brianne Tju, Ellen Burstyn, Judy Greer, Javier Munoz, Louis Gossett, Jr. and Amy Landecker.
Troye Sivan has also written two original songs for the new movie.
