Troye Sivan shares the daily ritual that ‘keeps him gay’

Troye Sivan has promoted his safe sex era to his 14 million followers on Instagram.

The gay pop superstar posted a photo of a palmful of pills to his Insta story and captioned it, “This combo keeps me gay.”

The pills in Troye’s regimen are PrEP, three capsules of a fibre supplement and another unknown medication.

“Proof that every gay person is the same, even if ur famous,” one fan responded.

“This picture has been pissing me off for two days because do twinks really only need 3 fiber pills???” another complained.

PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, is a pill taken daily or “on-demand” that dramatically reduces the risk of HIV transmission for HIV-negative people.

But it’s important to note though that fibre supplements, like Metamucil or psyllium husk, can affect how well medications like PrEP work.

If you take them, you should take them at least two hours before or two hours after taking your PrEP, otherwise the fibre might affect the drug absorption into your body. This means you might not get the medication’s full protection, so be aware.

Troye Sivan’s new album is ‘almost done’

Troye Sivan has new music on the way been teasing his new album all year.

“The new music is almost done. I feel comfortable saying that,” he told V Magazine last week.

“And I wholeheartedly mean that it’s like, the most proud I’ve ever been of anything that I’ve ever made.

“I think it’s like, my house and my album are the two things I’m most proud of.

“I really, really, really am so excited for people to hear it.”
