Troye Sivan has shared the music video for his first solo single of the year, the ode to queer love Angel Baby.

The video sees the singer making out with several men, rocking a thong while straddling the back of a motorcycle, and rolling around with multiple folks on a large bed.

“This song and video are a celebration of love and queerness and tenderness and sex and fantasy,” Troye explained on Instagram.

Luke Gilford, who also helmed the video for Troye’s 2017 ballad Heaven, directed the clip for the melodic love song. They shot the video in New York.

“Angel Baby is my crack at an adoring, doting, love struck, mega pop, gay, power ballad,” the Australian singer-songwriter explained.

“I thought we needed a few more of those.”

Angel Baby comes after Troye released six-track EP In a Dream last year.

Troye Sivan moved back to Australia last year

Last year, Troye Sivan moved back to Australia, buying a house in Melbourne at the start of the pandemic after five or six years living in the US.

“When everything got crazy in March [2020] I came back to Australia to be with my family,” he told Architectural Digest earlier this year.

“And eventually I was just like, ‘Wait, what am I doing?’

“I am so unbelievably happy here and I just feel so at home that I wanted to put down roots.

“I found this house and I was just like, ‘Done’.

“It’s a really, really nice feeling to just have a place that’s yours [where] you can kind of just kick back and relax and enjoy your life. That’s what it’s all about.”

Troye has returned to the US over the past few months.

He recently walked in Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty runway show and rocked a black gown the Met Gala.

Troye walked the Met Gala red carpet in a black Altu gown, a Cartier necklace, chunky leather stiletto heels and a leather armband on his left bicep.
