Troye Sivan has debuted a brand new song from his upcoming album during Charli XCX’s headlining set at the Austin City Limits music festival in the US.
After the pop duo let loose with Madonna at the MTV VMA’s this week, Charli XCX headlined the first night of the ACL festival in Texas on Saturday (AEST).
Charli kicked off with tracks from her latest album Music, Fashion, Film but almost halfway through the set brought out Troye as a surprise guest on stage.
Troye’s been all over promoting his new album She’s The Best, which comes out on Friday (October 9) and the Aussie took to Charli’s stage on his own to perform his latest Party as well as an unheard track Le Boy.

Troye Sivan’s new album has ‘slinky back arch pop’
As well as reuniting with his tourmate Charli XCX, Troye Sivan has also recently worked with Nicole Kidman and Ian McKellen – and scored a sample from Madonna – on the tracks and visuals for She’s the Best.
Troye told his fans to “expect the unexpected” and explained that the new album moves between two distinct sides.
“There is this high-octane side to the album that feels really bombastic,” he said, “and then there are the songs that feel like the interior of my mind.
“There’s this deep sense of longing. The album is a crazy journey.”

Troye Sivan hits back at surgeon’s advice on ‘retwinkifying’ himself
Earlier in the week, Troye shared She’s the Best‘s tracklist and broke down each song one by one in a string of posts on X.
He suggested the tracks Le Boy, Cowboy, FF, and Love So Big It Hurts were all more or less “undying love song[s] to a man who doesn’t exist” and also admitted Embarrasingly is a “masturbation anthem unfortunately.”
But when Troye described the second track, Canada Dry, as “oogey gooey slinky back arch pop about a handsome Canadian i want to suck dry LOL,” people were left guessing which handsome Canadian he’s referring to.
