The Tropical Fruits AGM is held each year in February or March. The Committee encourages all members to make every effort to attend the AGM as it is an opportunity for you to have your say on the future of your Tropical Fruits.
Only members financial at the time of the AGM can vote in the AGM elections. A current Financial Member of the Tropical Fruits Inc. is one who has paid their fees (due one year from when you joined or renewed your membership). Current members can renew their membership anytime up until the commencement of the AGM.
If you are joining for the first time you must have your membership approved by the Committee prior to the AGM.
At the AGM, we elect our new Committee. Nomination and proxy forms are sent out approximately one month prior to the AGM.
Non-Financial members are encouraged to attend and participate in discussions but do not have any voting rights for the elections.
The AGM is each year followed by a BBQ lunch and Community Forum after the election. The aim of the Community Forum is to set the goals and objectives that the membership wants the Committee to achieve in the coming year.
If you are unable to attend, please send us an email with your thoughts and ideas for parties and DJs, the restoration of the Fruit Bowl and the direction of Tropical Fruits for the year ahead.
The 2019 AGM will be held on Sunday March 31 from 11:00am at the Fruit Bowl. The AGM will be followed by a BBQ lunch (BYOG) and Community Forum which will conclude by 4:00 pm.
The Committee encourages you to make every effort to attend the AGM and have your say on the future of our beloved Tropical Fruits.
