Olympic diver Tom Daley apparently needed a little help during the week to walk down the aisle and marry film producer Dustin Lance Black this weekend.
Just days out from his wedding, Daley took to social media to share a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed.
He captioned the snap: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Back on the board soon.”
The BBC reported that the double Olympic bronze medallist had an operation on a minor hip injury but was expected to make a quick recovery.
Speaking back in January about their big day, he said: “So I am in the middle of planning all that with Lance, but it’s all been fun. It’s a fun time and exciting time.
“So yeah, I am really looking forward to this year.
“We just complement each other, and I think we really understand each other. He’s very good at what he does and he understands the hard work I have to put into what I do, so it works.”
Daley, 22, and Black, 42, first got together in early 2013 – just a few months before Daley announced his sexuality via a YouTube video – and got engaged in October 2015.
All latest reports suggest the wedding will go ahead as planned – so we wish them well!
