TOM DALEY EXPLAINS WHY HIS SPEEDOS ARE SO SMALL

Tom Daley Explains His Small Speedos

Tom Daley has finally explained why his speedos are always “quite small”.

The British Olympic diver said on Graham Norton’s talk show: “Everything has to stay in place. If you’re spinning around the last thing you want to do is have something come out of the place where it’s meant to be!

“And when you hit the water you don’t want things flapping about because it would hurt, so the closer you can keep it all in, the better.”

But Graham pressed him, asking: “I don’t want to be indelicate, but what if anything changes and you’re wearing those?”

When Tom understood what he meant, he explained that when a diver is standing on the ten metre platform “that’s the last thing to go through your head.”

Tom said he’s in training “six hours a day, six days a week” for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, which begin in August.

We all have designer Stella McCartney to thank for Tom’s tiny speedos, which were unveiled alongside the rest of the Great Britain Olympic team’s gear last month.
