Singer, actor and YouTube personality Todrick Hall is returning to Australian shores in June with a provocative new stage show.
Todrick Hall American: The Forbidden Tour will feature a brand-new storyline with new original songs and costumes and Todrick will tour the show throughout North America, Europe and Asia before reaching Australia and New Zealand.
The tour will arrive in Auckland on Friday, June 8, before Adelaide on Sunday, June 10, Melbourne on Wednesday, June 13 and Sydney on Thursday, June 14 before finishing at Brisbane’s Eatons Hill Hotel on Saturday, June 16.
Next week, Todrick will release his upcoming album Forbidden, featuring collaborations with RuPaul, R&B singer Brandy and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars competitor Shangela.
Todrick last visited Australia in 2017 with his Straight Outta Oz tour, a musical reinterpretation of L. Frank Baum’s classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz that told his own life story through the Oz characters.
The multi-talented entertainer got his big break as a semi-finalist on American Idol in 2010, and rose to wider fame more recently as a viral star on YouTube with his elaborate music videos ranging from original works to parody songs to mash-up tributes, all choreographed and costumed by the performer himself.
He’s amassed nearly 3 million YouTube subscribers and an astounding 513 million YouTube views, and in 2016 won the Streamy Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
Todrick is also well-known for his recurring spot as choreographer and guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
