It’s official, Tim Dormer is returning to Big Brother Australia in 2022. Former winner Reggie Bird has also been confirmed to compete.
The reboot featuring returning housemates was announced late last year.
Now Channel 7 have started to confirm the names of some of its stars.
Big Brother ‘Royalty’ to return in 2022
Late last year it was revealed that Big Brother would be returning for a special season in 2022.
Tentatively dubbed Big Brother ‘Back to the future,’ the season was announced as featuring new and returning housemates.
The first speculated cast included some of our favourite queer housemates from seasons past.
Fan favourite ‘Farmer Dave’ and controversial 2013 contestant Tully were rumoured to be competing.
2013 winner Tim Dormer was also tipped as a contestant for the season.
After much speculation, Channel 7 has this week released their first two castmates for the season.
Tim Dormer will officially be entering the house to compete. He will be joined by one of the most loved contestants, Reggie Bird.
Tim famously took out the title in 2013 and got up to plenty of mischief during his time in the house. His crazy antics and loud personality earned him the win.
After competing on the show he later began a relationship with then-boyfriend Ash Toweel, with the two set to marry in 2017, however, the pair have since separated.
Tim has also gone on to appear on Big Brother Canada in 2016 as well as appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice in Australia.
Reggie Bird: Australia’s Sweetheart
Regina ‘Reggie’ Bird will also be joining Tim and is sure to have everyone watching again.
Reggie first appeared in 2003 during the third season of Big Brother.
Sitting beside Chrissie Swan in the final two Reggie took home the title and the $250,000 after Australia fell in love with her.
Well known as the fish and chip shop owner from Tassie, Reggie was endearing and loveable.
Unfortunately, since her win, Reggie has lost all her prize money.
Reggie currently lives on the Gold Coast with her two children and is suffering a degenerative health condition that is slowly making her lose her eyesight.
These two fantastic and energetic housemates will make a wonderful addition to the latest iteration of the show.
Big Brother ‘Back To The Future’ has already been filmed and will be set to air this year on Channel 7.
