Open Doors’ queer youth extravaganza Queerosity is on again in Brisbane this Saturday.
The festival, held during National Youth Week, showcases art, music, culture and community created by, and for, gender diverse young people aged under 25.
This year’s National Youth Week theme is “Be the Future” and on display there will be some of the best queer and alternative talent Brisbane has to offer, with a broad array of performances and entertainment from across the artistic spectrum, including drag shows, cabaret, bands, singing, dancing, interactive arts workshops and demonstrations, and more.
A marketplace of community stalls and information booths will be on display, enabling local queer and queer-friendly businesses, organisations and services to makes themselves known to all attendees.
The festival was first held in April 2010 by Open Doors, Griffith University and QuAC, and it was such a success it’s been held every year since.
Queeriosity will be held on Saturday 16th April 2016 at HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, Church Street, Fortitude Valley.
