This Terminally Ill 21-Year-Old Got His Dying Wish For A Drag Makeover

Dean Eastmond

Tributes have flowed for terminally ill British journalist Dean Eastmond, who lost his battle with a rare form of tissue cancer.

The 21-year-old had been documenting his cancer battle on Twitter, and last month shared the devastating news that he had only weeks to live.

Eastmond has told his Twitter followers that the wish at the top of his bucket list was to have his face painted by his favourite drag queens from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Season 9 contestant Charlie Hides heard the call, and offered to meet up with him for an afternoon of fun and Eastmond shared the results on Twitter.

“When we got out the makeup, he told me he loves Club Kid drag so that was the starting point, but we were all in the mood to just play,” Hides told Gay Times.

“Towards the end of the day he said, ‘For a few hours I forgot I had cancer.’ That was the best review I could ask for.”

Other RuPaul’s Drag Race queens took to social media to share kind words of their own and the message “Dean Eastmond Slays”.
