Two AFLW players ( Australian Football League for Women ) from the Fremantle Dockers have announced their engagement.
Team captain Kara Donnellan proposed to her partner Ebony Antonio in Bali, where the couple are sharing post-season downtime with friends and teammates, Fairfax Media reported.
“Oooop there it is… I finally gave in and put a ring on it!” Donnellan posted on Instagram on Wednesday.
“I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you @ebonyantonio12, you complete me and I bloody love you!
“I guess I’m stuck with you forever now.”
Ebony joked in an Instagram post of her own, “[Kara] put a ring on it… about bloody time.
She continued, “Could 2018 get any better? I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together, I love you… now where’s my puppy?”
The AFLW power couple have been together for a number of years, and last month shared on Instagram they’d bought a house together.
On Friday night, Antonio took home the Fremantle Dockers’ AFLW Fairest and Best award for 2018, and thanked her partner in her acceptance speech.
“[Kara’s] my superstar partner, soulmate and, hopefully, future wife one day,” she said.
