While vampires have been all the rage in recent years for teen TV series, books and movies, all of these modern pretenders need to remember that they owe everything to the original cult classic – Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Being brought back to life this month (well sort of – he’s already undead) by local production company Shake & Stir Theatre Co, Dracula is set to grace QPAC’s Cremorne Theatre 13 August-29 September for a world premiere season of a new adaptation of Stoker’s classic novel.

When young lawyer Jonathan Harker visits Castle Dracula deep within the Carpathian Mountains, he’s not expecting the strange hospitality he receives from his mysterious host. Alone and trapped within the castle walls, Jonathan discovers that Dracula wants more than his presence at the dinner table – he might also be the main course. Leaving Jonathan for dead and his castle behind, Dracula travels to London on a quest for seduction, true love and above all – blood.

Dracula will play 13 August -5 September at the Cremorne Theatre, QPAC. Tickets are available now via or call 136246.
