From a tribute to Catherine O’Hara, a non-binary themed agility course and Megan Thee Stallion, we are beyond obsessed with this years Wesminster Kennel Dog Show.
Over two days, 2,500 dogs and more than 200 breeds strutted their stuff at the 150th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
With finalists competing at New York’s Madison Square Garden, it’s a huge event for US dog lovers.
But what they may not have realised is that the colour scheme for this year’s show was the non-binary flag.
Lending a touch of campness to the already camp event.
Dogs are judged on how closely they conform to their specific breed, their overall composure, and their agility to run a prearranged course.
But with the entire course and colour design of the Dog Show dressed in yellow, purple and white, it screams non-binary in the best way.
Here’s an even longer video of our four-legged friends running the course – did we mention we are obsessed?
The non-binary flag
Designed by Kye Rowan in 2014, the non-binary flag has four horizontal stripes.
From yellow, white, purple, and black, each represents people whose gender identity exists outside the traditional binary.
Yellow represents genders outside the binary, as yellow is often used to distinguish something as its own.
White represents those with many or all genders, as white is the presence of all colours andlight
Purple represents a mix of both binary female and male, often interpreted as a blend or fluidity.
And black represents those who identify as agender, or without gender, as black is the absence of colour/light.

Megan Thee Stallion’s pooch steals the spotlight
Being able to take part in the champions-only show is a major accomplishment in the dog community.
Megan Thee Stallion and her grey French bulldog, 4oe, appeared in a promotional ad for the Dog Show.
“The Big Apple. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere,” Megan said in a video.
“But first, you gotta be able to walk the walk, baby.”
“Every step, every turn, every move you make is a chance to shine.”
“Go on, 4oe, strike a pose. Let ‘em see your good side,” she said as 40e posed.
“Thousands of pups have already dazzled the carpet, but only one will strut their way to the throne,” she said.
“It’s time to crown the 150th Westminster Kennel Club Best in Show. Come on, 4oe, let’s see who steals the show tonight.”
