Sydney does New Year’s Eve like nowhere else in the world, and this year the LGBTQ+ community once again have a front-row seat on the harbour with Celebration at the End of the Wharf – NYE 25/26.
The only LGBTQ+ New Year’s Eve party held directly on Sydney Harbour, Celebration at the End of the Wharf – NYE 25/26, returns for another fabulous year.
What a way to ring in the New Year with family and friends than right on the water in Walsh Bay, with uninterrupted views of the fireworks, the Harbour Bridge and the city skyline.
It’s a night for connection, conversation and celebration, set in one of Sydney’s most iconic harbourside venues.

‘A more immersive fireworks experience than they’ve ever had before’
This is the 17th year Adam Bold from Points and Difference Travel and Events has hosted the event.
And he is excited to elevate the experience for this year’s guests.
“We have a much bigger venue this year, but the most exciting thing is that we are right underneath the fireworks,” he told QNews.
“We’re literally on the Harbour’s edge, it’s a viewing we’ve never had before.”
“The bridge is in close proximity, and we’ve got two fireworks barges directly in front of us, with a further two to the West that we’ve never seen.”

But it’s not just about the fireworks, is it?
“Yes, I’m excited for guests to have a more immersive fireworks experience than they’ve had before, but also a more accessible one,”
“The venue is larger with more viewing areas, and more toilets as well.” Bold laughed.
“We are taking over a theatre space, so it’s designed for accessibility and wheelchair access.”
“Having more accessibility and more space gives us more scope.
“It’s a beautiful heritage building, so I’m very much leaning into the beautiful harbourside venue.”
A NYE celebration with Sydney style at its best
The evening unfolds as a cocktail-style celebration, with roaming canapés crafted by The Fresh Collective, one of Australia’s most respected event caterers.
Guests can expect refined bites, such as smoked trout with caramel chilli, crispy zucchini flowers with truffle honey, and prawn chopsticks with lime and palm sugar.
As the night rolls on, late-night favourites include bao buns and mini banh mi.
“We’ve been working with The Fresh Collective for over a decade,” Bold said.
“The food selection they’ve come forward with this year is just stunning, and of course, delicious.”
“Throughout the night, we aim to entertain all of your senses, including your taste buds.”
The soundtrack for the night comes courtesy of DJ Mark Alsop (MA15+) and DJ Nate.
The pair will deliver a stylish, groove-driven mix that builds as the evening unfolds and carries the celebration well into the early hours.

Steering the night as MC is the incomparable Frock Hudson, bringing warmth, wit and that unmistakable sense of occasion that makes New Year’s Eve feel personal as well as spectacular.
“There is truly nothing else like it. It’s an event I look forward to every year.” Frock told QNews.
“Not only is the view and entertainment spectacular, but so is the vibe. Our crowd don’t just come to party, they come to celebrate, together.”
“Helping them make new friends, tear up the dance floor, and even sing a song or two with me is the perfect way to ring in the new year, and of course, I’m always excited to see who will win best dressed.”

White, silver and a little bit of sparkle
The night’s signature look continues in white with silver sparkles, a theme long embraced by guests who consistently rise to the occasion.
Over the years, the creativity has been next level.
Sharp tailoring, flowing fabrics, subtle shimmer and full statement looks all make their mark on the night.
This year, the tradition continues with a best dressed competition, celebrating those who truly understand that New Year’s Eve on Sydney Harbour is the moment to bring your A-game.
“I know some people can panic when there’s a dress code.” Frock laughed.
“But the most important thing to remember is to think comfort and, of course, glamour. New Year’s is never the time to be subtle.”
“If in doubt about what to wear, can I suggest heading down Oxford Street and popping into Daly Male, House of Priscilla, you’ll be sure to find something fab.”

Introducing the VIP Supper Club
For guests seeking a more elevated start, the VIP Supper Club has been launched for the first time this year and is presented by DNA Magazine.
The VIP Supper Club offers a seated and elevated dining experience once the party begins.
“We’ve never had the space to do this before, but it’s an element people have been asking me about for years,” Bold said.
“Not only will you have amazing premium cocktails and canapes on arrival, but you will also have a three-course sit-down meal to enjoy.”
The menu includes indulgent dishes such as king prawn canapés, yellowfin tuna with yuzu kosho, fillet of beef with bone marrow, and a decadent chocolate marquise to finish.
This is all paired with premium beverages, and there are only a handful of tickets remaining.

“I am so excited to offer this curated experience to those who want it,” Bold said.
“They will still be a part of the rest of the evening, and it has been great to partner with DNA, who have been a huge supporter of the event over the years.”
“And even though a lot is going on, I’ve made sure that there’s something special for everyone to enjoy.
“Why not come and join us at Celebration at the End of the Wharf – NYE 25/26?”
