Swim Team Aqualicious Holding Fundraiser Screening Of New ‘Mamma Mia’

Brisbane LGBTIQ swim team Aqualicious are holding a fundraising screening of musical sequel Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again to raise money for their upcoming swim meet.

Aqualicious is Brisbane’s Masters swim team open to friends and members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community.

The team welcomes new members of all age and experience levels to their inclusive environment, and hold sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Spring Hill.

“We’re holding the screening at New Farm Cinemas to raise funds for our annual swimming meet on September 29,” the team’s president Fernando Claro said.

“Aqualicious hold a yearly swim meet as part of Queensland Masters Swimming to promote healthy and active lives in the LGBTIQ community and be valued as part of the broader Queensland community.

“Funds will be used for pool hire and medals and trophies for the competition.”

Tickets to the screening are $25, which includes the screening of the musical sequel at and a special reception with finger food for LGBTIQ friends and supporters.
