Zeke Smith, star of Survivor made an emotional proposal to his partner Nico Santos this week.
He made the proposal at the 2022 GLAAD Media Awards.
The pair met backstage at the awards ceremony four years earlier.

This week at the GLAAD Media Awards the Survivor Alum surprised his boyfriend with the proposal.
Zeke and Nico Santos, star of Superstore have been dating for four years.
In a cute nod to the place they first met Zeke Smith popped the question to Nico at the ceremony.
“Nico, your love has taught me how to love. You are my other half, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you” he said.
“I said yes. You have my heart forever @zekerchief,” Santos later wrote on Instagram.
The cute couple has been sharing their love story on Instagram since they first started dating.
They met after Zeke’s controversial and troubling time on Survivor.
“I didn’t want to be the ‘first transgender Survivor contestant”
During his time on Survivor: Game Changers Zeke had his world turned upside down.
When taking part in the program he had chosen not to disclose his gender history to his fellow contestants.
“I didn’t want to be the ‘first transgender Survivor contestant,’” he later told People Magazine.
However in a controversial episode, a fellow contestant took that option away from him.
During a heated tribal council fellow contestant, Jeff Varner outed Zeke to his tribemates.
The fallout from the controversial moment has continued to follow Zeke since the program.
Millions of people witnessed the episode worldwide and the outpouring of support for Zeke was enormous.
He has spoken and written about his time on the show and the effect the moment had on him.
Since appearing on the program he now works as a writer and comedian.
Zeke also appears in the LGBT documentary Disclosure on Netflix.
The film explores Hollywood’s depiction of transgender people, their stories, and their lives on screen.
