The Underground Opera Company will bring a showcase of arias and duets from world famous operas to Bli Bli’s Sunshine Castle on the Sunshine Coast.
Led by UOC director and founder, Bruce Edwards, performers Glenn Lorimer, Dominique Fegan, Lionel Theunissen and Louise Dorsman will take the stage in the castle’s Banquet Hall for three intimate “Opera in the Castle” performances from March 18 – 20.
The performances will feature srias such as “Nessun Dorma” from “Turandot”, duets from “Lakme and The Pearl Fishers,” ensemble pieces from “Nabucco” and “Rigoletto,” as well as tributes to muscial greats such as “Oliver” and “Mary Poppins”.
Mr Edwards said was the castle was the perfect location for the show, which he says will be “a wonderful evening of music that is also very personal.”
“We’ve loved bringing our concerts to The Sunshine Castle, Bli Bli over the years and feel we are continuing to support an excellent tourist location, while ensuring arts continues to thrive in this part of south east Queensland,” he said.
“The Sunshine Castle venue is awesome and performing in its Banquet Hall provides such an intimate environment for our guests.”
