STEPHEN FRY’S HONEYMOON MARRED BY HOMOPHOBIA

Stephen Fry and his husband Elliot Spencer were forced to abandon their recent honeymoon to Honduras after it was spoiled by homophobia according to Elliot in a recent interview with the Daily Mail.
The couple married at a secret ceremony in the UK at the start of the year and recently set off on their honeymoon to the deeply religious country in Central America where same-sex marriage remains banned.
“We had a problem when we visited Honduras on holiday. It was homophobia. I don’t want to go into detail, but we had to leave,” Spencer said in the interview.
When they arrived, Fry posted a picture of himself with bananas on his head onto Instagram but just hours later announced that he would be closing his account with the words: “Hounded off. Goodbye.”
Spencer also told the Daily Mail that he love travelling with Fry because he gets to learn so much.
“Stephen takes me on his travels and he educates me,’ he said.
“Many of the countries Stephen’s been to before, but he likes to see them through new eyes with me. It has been an amazing bonding experience.”
