Sportsman Hotel requiring proof of vaccination

On Friday (December 17), the Queensland government is easing capacity restrictions on businesses, including hospitality venues.

This means many venues can return to operation at full capacity, but allowing entry to vaccinated patrons only.

The Sportsman Hotel has confirmed that from Friday, they will only welcome vaccinated patrons under the new rules.

The team explained all Sporties employees and resident performers have had their two doses of vaccine.

“We’re looking forward to December 17 so we can scrap the capacity limits and pack the pub again in a safe manner,” they said.

“You’ll be glad to know that everyone in the venue will be fully vaccinated as well.

“If you’re unvaccinated or you cannot provide proof of vaccination or medical exemption (on the check in QLD app, your digital certificate, your printed certificate or your wallet vaccination record), you won’t be getting in.”

The Sporties team urged everyone to be respectful of venue staff when the door changes begin on Friday.

They said the new public health directive allows Sporties to trade normally for the first time in two years.

“The whole team has been waiting for this date to party on like it’s 2019 again. The message is simple, get vaccinated!”
