Sheldon Riley Eurovision

The Voice star Sheldon Riley will compete for a spot in Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2022.

Performing at Eurovision has always been a dream for the singer.

Sheldon has amassed a huge following after appearing in The Voice Australia twice and America’s Got Talent.

“I am different but I have found my place on mainstream television”

Sheldon Riley made an impact when he first appeared on The Voice and has continued to shine ever since.

With extravagant over the top costumes, including his signature masks and theatrical vocals Eurovision is the perfect fit for Sheldon.

It’s also something the singer has dreamed of for years.

“It has always been the highlight, waking up at 5am every year to watch from Australia.”

“Watching Conchita for the first time was proof to me that the world will choose different if given the chance to see it.”

Sheldon’s appearance on The Voice saw a change in the way queer artists were represented on mainstream competition shows.

By continuing to break the mould he has found acceptance in the mainstream.

“I am different but I have found my place on mainstream television where I never fit the mould. On radio that has never played music like mine. Festivals you’d never think I’d fit the bill for because I always dare to dream. In my fashion and my music I always bringing that little bit of Eurovision magic with me every time.”

For Sheldon, this chance at Eurovision will be a dream come true.

“I’m so proud of the artist I am today, wearing my crystal mask in so many parts of the world. It would be an honour to represent Australia and bring my sparkle to Europe! After all these years of dreaming and creating the artist I am today. It’s all coming to life in epic fashion, LIVE on stage!”
