Ryan Barabas says Real Estate has not slowed in 2022

Real Estate

Welcome to 2022. It’s kicked off with multiple surprises! Real Estate has definitely not slowed. In fact, it seems that the frenzy is in full swing.

Betty White left us feeling very sad, passing just short of her 100th birthday. Whilst we didn’t know her personally, she was, for many of us, a cheeky yet beloved grandma figure. Her legacy reminds us to hold onto positivity and always have humour. ❤️ Speaking of love and a little happy news, Sydney’s precious little gay penguin couple, Sphen & Magic also celebrated their third anniversary!

But back to real estate… In 2022, the property market picked up right where 2021 left off. There has still never been a better time to sell. Buyers are ready and just waiting for properties.

Obviously, this has implications for purchasing, but a little planning will ensure everything flows smoothly. Property is still the investment of choice right now with low cash rates and COVID-19 affecting the economy in unusual ways.

Low Cash rate

The low cash rates mean the cost of borrowing remains low. However, the rising cost of homes means some may need to extend their purchase timeline and tweak their strategy.

Looking at areas further from the CBD, or different styles of housing. With the borders open, there are even more interstate buyers which creates more competition, adding to the perfect storm for sales.

Current COVID-19 regulations do not affect open homes, inspections or auctions, but the health and safety of our clients is our priority. The real estate industry adapted early in 2020 with COVID-19 safe methods to ensure that you can inspect, buy or sell property – it’s business as usual!

The market is hot and competitive. But having a good agent to help you sell to the right person at the right price is still imperative. It can save a lot of money. Finding your new love nest should be a fun and exciting experience, so rest assured, there are still plenty of opportunities. Feel free to give me a call to discuss your property needs and how I can help you.
