Tan France and his husband Rob have announced they’re expecting their second child and say it’s “the best feeling ever”.

The Queer Eye star and his partner got the happy news from their surrogate mum around Christmas last year.

“Hard to believe it was two years ago today we announced Ismail was on his way,” Tan wrote on Instagram.

“And today we couldn’t be prouder to share that he’s going to be a big brother!

“Becoming dads has been our greatest joy, and we are so excited to grow our family with the help of our wonderful surrogate.”

The couple said finding out about the pregnancy was “the best feeling ever”.

“I mean, it felt almost as shocking as the first time. I was overjoyed, in tears; I couldn’t believe that it had finally happened again. It was just the most incredible feeling,” he said.

Tan France really wanted to give his son a sibling

The gay husbands have been married since 2007. They’re already dads to one-and-a-half-year-old son Ismail.

Tan said he and his husband really wanted to give their son a sibling who was close in age.

“We wanted him to have someone that will be his person that he’s tethered to. I’m really close with my siblings and my husband is really close with his,” he told the Milk Drunk podcast.

“We wanted to create a family where [our child] would have more support other than just Rob and I.

“We are so excited about Ismail having a sibling, but the most exciting part is that he will have somebody hopefully for the rest of his life that he gets to call his person.”

Queer Eye season 7 arrives on Netflix in May

Meanwhile, the Queer Eye Fab Five – Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Bobby Berk, and Antoni Porowski – are back on Netflix in just a few weeks.

Netflix confirmed that Queer Eye Season 7 will finally arrive on May 12.

Across seven episodes The Fab Five will transform the lives of some native New Orleanians.

“From beignets to ben-yas! The Emmy Award-winning Queer Eye is back for a seventh season,” a synopsis reads.

“Grab your beads and let the good times roll as The Fab Five bring some sparkle and sass to New Orleans and transform the lives of residents who are in need of a fresh start.”
