Queensland AIDS Council’s Executive Director Resigns

The Queensland AIDS Council are looking for a new executive director after the resignation of Michael Scott.

QuAC said in a statement that Scott had informed the council’s board that he would resigning from the role effective July 1 to pursue other opportunities.

Scott has been with QuAC for eight years and has served in a variety of roles at the organisation, including Director of Sexual Health and 2 Spirits Program Manager.

He has been Executive Director of the organisation since 2014.

“Mr Scott helped guide QuAC through some difficult times,” QuAC said.

“The board thanks him for his service to the organisation and the LGBTIQ community of Queensland.

“The board wishes him well in his future endeavours.”

The QuAC board has begun a national search for Mr Scott’s successor.
