Some of the groups that we have been able to assist include The Australian Suicide Research and Prevention LGBT suicide study, Brisbears, Australian Transgender Association of Queensland, Tropical Fruits, LGBTI Legal Service, GLWHA (Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service), Central Queensland Fair Day, Cairns Pride Fair Day, CWC fundraiser for QPP x 3 events, Qld. Positive People, GALTA, Qld AIDS Council, Brisbane Hustlers, Lesbian Health Action Group, Alice Springs Pride plus more.
Additionally, QNews has since 2005 been able to provide our qgroups.com.au website free of charge that supports over 120 community groups assisting LGBT groups. The QDirectory website is able to act as a hub for LGBT groups in Queensland providing a directory of groups and services for our community.
For many of the smaller groups who do not have the capacity to build or maintain their own website, qgroups.com.au is able to serve as an important means of communication with their members.
“We already have applications in for further sponsorship totalling over $50,000.00 for 2015,” The Publisher said.
“Our dedicated team of staff writers and contributors are what makes QNews what it is.
We connect and support record-breaking numbers of groups and individuals in need. There are over 5,000 visits to groups website each month by people looking for other like-minded people, for fun and to connect with others.”
“We now have over 1.8 million pages that are viewed per month on QNews.com.au which is simply staggering.
We are indeed grateful to our readers and advertisers for their support. This allows QNews to be a uniquely different and proudly independent magazine and website and we have big plans for 2015 to try and connect even more people.”
