Peach PRC cancels Brisbane and Perth shows due to illness

Peach PRC’s debut album Porcelain arrives with single ‘Out Loud’

Queer pop sensation, Peach PRC, has made the tough call to cancel the final two shows of her Wandering Spirit Tour in Brisbane and Perth due to illness.

The singer was set to perform at On the Banks in Brisbane tonight and in Perth on Saturday.

Tickets are still on sale for her shows in New Zealand the following week.

“I am devastated to say that I’ve come down with the flu and will not be allowed to travel, therefore I can’t go ahead with this week’s shows on doctor’s advice,” the singer said on social media.

“I’m honestly heartbroken, and I hate letting you down. All Brisbane ticket holders will be contacted directly regarding refunds.”

“We’re currently working on rescheduling Perth and will share an update as soon as we can.

“Sometimes things happen outside of our control, and I want to put on a show you won’t forget. I want to give you 100%, and I promise I’ll be back to see you in Brisbane soon.

“Thank you so much for your understanding and for always supporting me. Peach PRC x”

‘I wanted the tour to represent that before people had heard the album’

Ahead of the release of her new album on April 3, Peach PRC told QNews that she is in a transition period.

The album explores identity, evolution and self-acceptance through elevated visuals and a sound with a more vulnerable creative lens.

What began as a conceptual push-and-pull between Peach PRC and Shaylee becomes a seamless fusion.

With moments of hyper-feminine fantasy and pop escapism interlaced with intimate, unfiltered storytelling from the woman underneath it all.

The title of her tour, Wandering Spirit, refers to a lyric from Eucalyptus, “which is one of the songs on the album that I felt really encapsulated the whole world.” Peach said.

“It kind of tells the story about how I came into this sort of newfound love of the natural world.

“And I wanted the tour to represent that before people had heard the album…. to give them an idea of, like, ‘this is the world we’re in’.
