Pam Ann – the high-flying alter-ego of Australian comedian, writer and producer Caroline Reid – has announced a new tour of Australia.
In her new show Flight Attendant Star, Pam will select a group of air hostie wannabes from the audience and put them through a series of challenges to see if they have what it takes.
She’s encouraging everyone to dress up in their flight attendant finery for the chance to be showered with glory and crowned Pam Ann’s Flight Attendant Star.
Pam says her new show will be a return to her early days of audience participation, and no experience is needed for her new recruits.
“Look out, Bitches! My Xanax script has been filled and I am ready to make that horrific flight down under!” Pam Ann said.
“It’ll be first class all the way – I’m not going anywhere near those inbreds in economy And I will be bypassing Hobart – and hot Australians only for my next Flight Attendant Star. See you in the cockpit!”
Reid’s Pam Ann character is renowned for her lewd and acerbic airline satire, and since the cult character was created more than 20 years ago she has evolved and developed cult status both here and overseas, including praise from gay icons Elton John and Madonna.
Pam is bringing her Flight Attendant Star tour to Melbourne’s Comedy Theatre on August 24 and August 25, Perth’s Astor Theatre on August 28, Brisbane’s The Tivoli on August 30, and Sydney’s State Theatre on September 1.
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, March 21. For more details, visit the website here.
