The creator of Netflix’s new R-rated drama Sex/Life has stayed coy about the show’s jaw-dropping full-frontal male nude scene.

The show is about mum-of-two Billie who, while married to successful husband Cooper, is fantasising about her Australian ex-boyfriend Brad, played by Aussie actor Adam Demos.

Since its release on Netflix last week, reviews of Sex/Life have been very mixed but it’s among the most-watched among Australian viewers on the streaming service.

However one unexpected scene has gone viral after catching viewers off guard.

In the third episode, Cooper covertly follows his rival Brad to the gym. However he gets a big shock – along with the viewers – in the shower room.

Sex/Life creator Stacy Rukeyser told Collider about the viral scene but wouldn’t fully address the fierce debate about it.

“No. That’s not a body double,” she said.

“I mean, people usually ask is it real or is it a prosthetic?

“And I can tell you what Adam Demos says about it which is, a gentleman never tells. So, we are leaving that up to the viewer’s imagination.”

Rukeyser also defended the R-rated show’s nudity and sex scenes as crucial to the trio’s character development.

Adam Demos talks filming Sex/Life’s sex scenes

Adam Demos also spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the show’s sex scenes and working with the production’s intimacy coordinator.

“I was okay with it because you read the script and know what you’re getting yourself into from the start,” he said.

“So I don’t think you would sign on to a show after reading the scripts and then say no last minute.

“That doesn’t mean you can’t have discussions about comfort level, which they allowed us to have – and with the intimacy coordinator, so it felt a lot safer.

“Everyone would speak about it and their comfort levels. You would rehearse it so much that by the time you did it, it was a lot more comfortable than you’d assume.

“You discuss everything: hand movements, everything down to the breath.

“Our intimacy coordinator was awesome, and knowing there’s someone specifically there for that, who’s on top of it all, is really cool.”

Sex/Life is streaming on Netflix.

After reading this article and seeing Bill’s/your comment, I’m gonna have to watch it now. Can I binge it or are they releasing one episode a week? At least I know I can watch the first three now.
It’s kinda sad that Number 96 was way back almost fifty years ago and yet, here we are, still getting ‘hung’ up about dicks on TV… and I’m not referring to the biggest dick on TV either, bolt. There are such things as parental control, so what the hell is his problem? If you don’t want to see naked bodies on your TV, change the bloody channel you effing morons. It’s time to grow up! As for the rest of us, enjoy the viewing! I’m pretty sure I will.
