Munroe Bergdorf is making history as she becomes the first trans woman to appear on Cosmopolitan UK.
The star is appearing on the cover for the 50th anniversary of the magazine.
Munroe Bergdorf makes history
Munroe Bergdorf is best known as a British model and activist.
She was famously the first transgender model to represent L’OReal in the UK.
Further to this, she has been known for her work in activism in the UK in areas such as feminism, trans rights, anti-racism and mental health.
In 2018 Munroe was named the “Changemaker of the Year” at the Cosmopolitan Awards.
On the 21st of January Munroe Bergdorf will appear on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK for their 50th anniversary issue.
Taking to Instagram to make the announcement the star was thrilled.

Prior to publication Cosmopolitan UK released their interview with Munroe Bergdorf online.
Here she detailed her life, plans for the future and what this opportunity means for her.
As a strong activist for the transgender community Munroe is excited about what her inclusion on the cover represents.
“I hope there’s a young trans girl looking at this cover thinking: ‘I can do it too and who I am is not going to hold me back” she gushes.
She goes on to talk about what she hopes to see in the future for her community.
“I believe the people want trans inclusion, racial equality, to end misogyny so women and girls feel safe walking home at night.”
“I don’t think we have ever been as enlightened as a people as we are now, even if there is a lot of misinformation around, I do feel like the spark has been lit.”
“Less people are passively accepting what they have been presented with and that’s an incredible thing.”
“It shows there’s only so long that people can hold on to a world that doesn’t exist anymore, before embracing a new one.”
The magazine featuring Munroe Bergdorf will be released on the 21st of January 2022.
