The Arts Centre Gold Coast is about to host one of the world’s great musicals with their staging of Miss Saigon in June.
Since premiering in 1989, the epic pop opera Miss Saigon has become one of the most successful musicals in history. From the incredible writers of Les Misérables, this international sensation has been performed in 28 countries in 15 languages, seen by 35 million people and has won over 40 awards.
Based on Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, Miss Saigon takes you through the life, romance and tragic circumstances surrounding Chris, an American GI, and Kim, a young Vietnamese girl – a couple who fall in love during the Vietnam War but are torn apart by the Fall of Saigon.
Miss Saigon will run 12-20 June at The Arts Centre Gold Coast. Tickets are available via www.theartscentregc.com.au or call (07) 5588 4000.
