Michelle Visage is officially in New Zealand ready to film Drag Race Down Under.

After dropping hints about arriving in New Zealand last week, the star has officially been sighted.

The news is a further indicator that Drag Race Down Under Season Two is about to start filming.

Michelle Visage arrives to film Drag Race Down Under

With Michelle Visage officially in New Zealand it looks like Drag Race Down Under is about to start their engines.

It appears Michelle has already been in Auckland for close to a week.

The famous judge was spotted by fans getting her nails down and hitting the local shops.

And Michelle is not the only star to have been spotted.

Eager fans have also spotted fellow judge Rhys Nicholson around town.

With both of the stars now in town filming for the second season is expected to commence within the week.

When will we see Drag Race Down Under?

With casting for Drag Race Down Under open way back in September it’s safe to say the production train has been well underway.

Rather than producers seeking out contestants this year an open casting call was held.

Qnews spoke to Art Simone last year about auditioning for the show and queens we’d love to see from Brisbane.

With Michelle Visage and Rhys Nicholson in New Zealand, filming will likely be underway within a week.

This could see production having wrapped within a month.

Last year Drag Race Down Under aired on Stan in May.

If production wraps in February it’s safe to say fans can expect to see Drag Race Down Under on our screens around the same time again this year.

However, with so many iterations of the program going to air, it’s hard to tell where World of Wonder might like to place the program in the schedule.

A May airdate would allow for Season 14 of US Drag Race and Rupual’s Drag Race UK Versus The World to finish airing first.
