Victorian man Patrick Greber has been crowned the winner of this year’s Mr Australasia Bear 2016 contest.
Patrick competed against other finalists from Australian and New Zealand bear clubs in the three fun-filled rounds of the competition on June 18, part of VicBears’ annual Southern HiBearnation event in Melbourne.
“I came to Australia with a dream to build my future here. I came alone without family and without friends,” Patrick wrote on Facebook after his win.
“I can now proudly say I have the biggest family behind me and friends a person can have.”
“I want to say again thank you for every support… you all walked with me this way. I am proud to know you all and I will never forget for what we want to fight for love, equality and freedom because that’s the only things you can’t buy,” Patrick wrote.
“I really am the happiest person on earth at the moment and I will share my happiness and love with everyone!!”
Queensland was represented in the competition by the winner of last year’s Mr Bear QLD, Kenn Wilson.
