Lindsay Lohan is back back back again in new Netflix deal

Lindsay Lohan Netflix Mean Girls

Our favourite hot mess and Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan is back with a new Netflix deal and it is SO fetch!

The iconic star has signed a two-movie contract with the streaming service.

It’s the first film role for the star in a long time and we’re here for it.

Lindsay Lohan set for another comeback

Lindsay Lohan first made herself a household name in the Parent Trap and Freaky Friday films.

It was these oh so iconic Lohan films that paved the wave for her breakout role in Mean Girls in 2004.

Lindsay went on to break records at the 2008 Razzie awards for her role in I Know Who Killed Me.

Following her film career, we saw the release of two studio albums for the rising star.

You can bet your bottom dollar everyone has her banger Rumours tucked away in a playlist somewhere.

Since then things haven’t seen so good for LiLo.

Between her ups and downs with the law, hard-partying and falling out with her parents she has notoriously made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

But has that let us love her any less? Not at all.

To her credit, Lindsay has attempted to reinvent and find herself repeatedly over the years and she hasn’t given up.

In recent years she has turned her hand to modelling and fashion again.

In 2019 we were treated to more Lindsay Lohan as a judge on the Australian Masked Singer.

Watching Lindsay pretend to know who any of the people in front of her was iconic enough viewing for anyone.

But also, let us not forget the delightfully hot mess that was her Oprah redemption series Lindsay in 2014.

With all this behind her Lindsay Lohan has now inked a movie deal with Netflix, after her first project, a Christmas movie.

Falling For Christmas

Christmas movies seem to be all the rage lately, especially on Netflix, so Lindsay Lohan is jumping right on board with the trend.

Announced as part of her “creative partnership deal” with Netflix Lindsay will star opposite Glee heartthrob Chord Overstreet.

This film will not form part of the two movie deal announced with the streaming service but will air later this year.

Lindsay will play the role of a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress” in Falling For Christmas.

The rest of the description pretty much writes itself as pure Lohan gold.

Her character “gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”

The lodge owner will of course be played by the gorgeous Chord Overstreet.

Falling for Christmas is definitely a solid attempt to top her 2006 film Just My Luck, so get your popcorn, I feel a Razzie coming on.

While nothing can beat Mean Girls, we can’t wait to see what other gems her Netflix deal will bring in the future.

While we wait for this latest Lindsay classic, enjoy a trip down memory lane with Rumours again.
