Lil Nas X is no stranger to shutting down the Met Gala, only this year, he’s stripping down for it too.
In a jaw-dropping appearance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Grammy-winning musician donned a striking ensemble that left little to the imagination.
Clad only in a daring metallic thong, the artist shimmered with sparkling silver body paint, complemented by a lavish array of bejeweled crystals and pearls that adorned every inch of his body, from his head down to his toes.
The musician did not stop there, taking things a step further with a matching bejeweled eye mask and manicure.
Lil Nas X: the new king of Met Gala?
The bold fashion statement is already making an unforgettable impression on attendees, and setting the internet alight.

Stars collide
The singer, whose bedazzled cat look paid tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld for the 2023 theme – ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ wasn’t alone in his cat couture.
Doja Cat also appeared in a feline look, joining Nas in bizzarely meowing at red carpet interviewers.
The star’s feline features seem to be a nod to Karl’s iconic obsession with cats.
Lil Nas X also shared photos of the evening with other guests:

Whether or not the look is in line with the night’s theme of paying tribute to Lagerfeld’s fashion legacy is another story.
Regardless, it’s fair to say, Karl would have loved it.
