LGBTI-Inclusive New Way Chapel To Celebrate 22nd Anniversary

New Way Community Chapel

Brisbane’s New Way Community Chapel in Spring Hill is celebrating their 22nd anniversary and they’ve invited everyone to a special celebration early next month.

Over the past two decades the New Way Community Chapel has become known for inclusive services and has a reputation of accepting all people of faith, including those who’ve found themselves feeling disillusioned or not accepted by mainstream churches.

Earlier this month, New Way’s long-serving Pastor David retired after 22 years of service, passing the reigns on to his assistant Rob.

On October 5, from 6:30pm, they’ll be holding a special celebration to mark the milestone at the Chapel’s usual location at 351 Wickham Terrace in Spring Hill.

“Past, present and future attendees, members and friends are most welcome to attend our 22nd Anniversary. We invite anyone from our community who would like to celebrate the milestone with us too,” Pastor David said.

“We know that faith is so important to many people, including many in the LGBTIQ communities. Sadly so many of us are not readily welcomed in the church communities in which we were brought up. New Way Community Chapel, however, is a safe, accepting and welcoming environment for all who wish to join us.”

The New Way Community Chapel meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 6.30pm at 351 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill (enter via Lilley Street). For more information, visit New Way Community Chapel on
