Meanwhile rumours of a reboot are still swirling.
Kath and Kim house to be demolished within two weeks
Fans of the iconic show Kath and Kim are devastated this week.
Image and news reports have surfaced showing the iconic house shared by Kath and Kim preparing for demolition.
News reporters have flocked to the site to see just what is happening as demolition crews move in.
Reports have emerged that the house is preparing for demolition in just two weeks.
The house was last sold in 2016 for nearly $1.5 million.
Rumours of a Kath and Kim reboot
In a strange turn of events, rumours of a Kath and Kim reboot had only recently been circulating.
With the show holding such an iconic place in Australian television history fans have always wanted the series to return.
However the shows stars and creators have put the idea of a reboot to bed many times.
Woman’s Day was recently reporting that a reboot announcement was just weeks away, allegedly on a streaming service.
However, no credible sources have provided any information yet.
Last year Magda Szubanski but put any Kath and Kim reboot rumours to bed when talking to Kyle and Jackie O.
“I think it should be off the table … because it holds such a special place in people’s memories that you know, if we did a live show which was a best of or something like that that’s different, but to actually try and do a whole new series – you can never capture that magic again,” she said.
But hope is not entirely lost.
“I feel fine to go off and do Sharon stuff. We don’t know that world of Sharon’s world,” she said.
Maybe we might even get ourselves a Sharon spinoff?
We live in hope.
