“This is fantastic news and we are very excited that Justin Timberlake, an artist of global stature, will perform his new song in our show,” Eurovision producer Sven Stojanovic said.

“It makes it extra special that the Swedish songwriters Max Martin and Shellback co-wrote and co-produced the song together with Justin.”

Meanwhile, Queensland’s own Dami Im will represent Australia at Eurovision and SBS recently shared footage of her “first rehearsal” singing big ballad “Sound of Silence” on the Eurovision stage. Warning: spoilers!

This year, Eurovision will be broadcast live to the United States for the very first time. It’s the world痴 largest broadcast entertainment show, reaching more than 200 million people in nearly 50 countries around the world.

SBS will screen Semi-Final 1 of Eurovision this Friday at 7:30pm.
