Madonna tried her hand at stand-up comedy for a special one-off gig in Melbourne on Thursday night.
In between jokes and storytelling in the city’s 1500-seat Forum Theatre, Madonna delivered a setlist of obscure songs from her back catalgoue, many of which have never been performed live before.
The singer has been teasing the cabaret-esque show for weeks, and said it was a treat for her patient Australian fans, who have waited 23 years for her to return.
Free tickets were first available to members of her official fan club.

But the eager fans, who were told doors would open at 8:30pm, were reportedly left waiting for hours until Madonna finally took to the stage after midnight, with the show lasting until the early hours of Friday morning.
