A David Bowie memorial concert will be livestreamed around the world via Skype in exchange for a charity donation.
“The Music of David Bowie” concert will be held on April 1 at the Radio City Music Hall in New York to pay tribute to the legendary singer who passed away in January this year.
Musicians including Blondie, Mumford & Sons, Michael Stipe and The Pixies are set to take to the stage to perform a setlist of classic Bowie tracks. Longtime Bowie producer and friend, Tony Visconti, is also expected to appear.
Due to “unprecedented interest” in the concert, organisers said fans who make a donation via the fundraising platform ammado will receive a link to the Skype stream of the concert.
All of the net proceeds will be donated to a variety of arts, music and education charities.
