What does the future hold for Grace and Frankie?

Grace and Frankie, a Netflix Hit

When Grace and Frankie first arrived on screen in 2015 few could have predicted its staying power.

In a time when shows are rarely lasting up to three or four seasons, this show held its own consistently.

The premise of rivals Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lily Tomlin) being brought together by their husbands running off together was an instant hit.

Since then audiences have enjoyed the antics of the two rivals turned friends and their now ex-husbands.

However, after seven seasons, Netflix has announced the final episodes of season seven will air, for ‘One more happy ending.’

Beginning on April 29 the final episodes will air on the streaming giant as it brings the season to a close for its final farewell.

It will be a bittersweet moment for the stars of the show.

Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin released the following statement when the announcement was made in 2020.

“We are both delighted and heartbroken that Grace & Frankie will be back for its seventh, though final, season. ”

“We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation. And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well!”

“We’ll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we’ll still be around. We’ve outlasted so many things—just hope we don’t outlast the planet.”
