Luke Carine and Zac Tomlinson became the first same-sex couple to marry at an official ceremony on the Isle Of Man since new laws were passed last month.
The couple, who now live in Manchester, said “it meant the world” to get married in front of their family and friends in Ramsey.
“We came home to get married surrounded by family and friends,” Mr Carine told Isle of Man Today.
“It feels amazing to be the first couple to have a ceremony.”
Marc and Alan Steffan-Cowell were the first to convert their civil partnership to marriage last week but they chose not to have a ceremony.
Homosexuality was illegal under Manx law until 1992.
The introduction of equal marriage there now means that Northern Ireland is the only place in the Isles where same-sex couples cannot get married.
